Our Team
Steve Whitehead
President & Lead Technical CoachSteve played goalkeeper all his life, including with the Trenton Sockers Men's team that toured Europe and the USA. He also played in the Durham Competitive Class Men's League and BQMSL. Head Coach in the Ontario College Athletics Association (OCAA) for 8 years. Goalkeeper Coach and Assistant Coach in OCAA for 7 years. He is the Coach of the Trenton Sockers Blues Women's team. He holds the Ontario Soccer Goalkeeping Certificate. He has completed several English FA Goalkeeping courses.
Andrew Meikle
Coach & Lead Fitness TrainerAndrew has been Head Coach of the Quinte West 2016 Boys Wolverines for 3 seasons leading them to incredible seasons. He has been involved in the development a number of outstanding goalkeepers in the development age group. Andrew grew up in Bowmanville and played in the Durham leagues.
Nick January
Manager/Data AnalystNick has played soccer all his life growing up in Toronto. He is a big time Fulham fan. The highlight of his playing career was playing at the Soccer Hall of Fame Tournament in New York State. Nick helps keep things organized for us and keeps track of our goalkeepers progress.

Team Practices
Work with goalkeepers as part of team play. We can work on goal kicks, walls, and corners.
Individual Training
Personalized coaching to address specific strengths and areas of improvement.
Skill Development Clinics
Improve fundamental techniques and advanced goalkeeping skills through structured clinics. These are weekly group sessions that run year round.
Advanced Goalkeeping Clinics
Intensive clinics focusing on advanced techniques and strategies to elevate experienced goalkeepers' performances.
Alumni
MARIAH BESKERS
Mariah played goalkeeper for the Loyalist Lancers in the OCAA Eastern Division and currently plays for the Sockers Blues helping them win 2 championships in 2024 and 2025. She is an incredible athlete with the ability to play all positions on the pitch including goalkeeper.
PAUL HERRINGTON
Paul grew up playing in the QWSC and went on to play for the Trenton Sockers U19 Central Soccer League (CSL) team. He .played several seasons for the Loyalist Lancers in the OCAA. He played for the Trenton Sockers Div. 1 BQMSL helping them win a league championship and league tournament. He played for the Oshawa Flames in the Canadian Professional Soccer League (CPSL).
CEDRIC PICHE
Cedric played with the QWSC from the age of 4 and played competitive (rep) into his teenage years with the Quinte West Wolverines. He then moved on to play with Cavan FC in the Durham Region Soccer League. He went to St. Lawrence College and played with the Surge in the OCAA for 2 years. Cedric will be with the U21 Cavan FC team in the Ontario Soccer League in 2026.
